Whether you want the challenge of ascending Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales, or prefer one of our leisurely walks along the coastline, you are guaranteed breathtaking scenery and diverse landscapes.
We have a varied terrain here in Snowdonia from rugged mountain peaks, long sandy beaches to crystal clear lakes and rivers. The National Park continues to develop a network of footpaths geared towards walkers of all abilities

Mud and Routes

There is walking for all abilities from low level family walks in Snowdonia such as the walk to Cwm Idwal, moderate walks in Snowdonia, to proper hill walking over mountains, ridge walks and scrambles. There are even a few coastal sections near Abergwyngregyn in the north and along the Meirionnydd coast that’s entirely walk-able along the Wales Coast Path. Other popular walking bases in Snowdonia include Betws-y-coed, Pen-y-pass, Capel Curig, Beddgelert, Llanberis and Rhyd Ddu. With the locations of Ogwen, Bethesda, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Y Bala and Dolgellau to follow.
